And The Fishes of the Sea Shall Declare To Thee
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. Job 41:7-8
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. John 19:30
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:27
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 1 Peter 1:12
The Law proves to us that we cannot stand before God in our own righteousness, and that drives us to the Gospel. Martin Luther
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. Job 42:6
The Book of Job.
A book of dread and despair
where only the aroma of burning coals swirl the air.
On a deserted isle of misery,
out in the middle of nowhere in most of Today’s Theology,
where the poor soul is weeping in silence.
In the cool of the day
of the burdened mind’s dismay,
enveloped in the damp mist of sorrow,
where every new morrow,
the lonely heart hardens
as it hears not the sound of the LORD in This winter garden.
But let the Fishes of the Sea Declare to Thee
The Victory of Our Lord, won on the Cross of Calvary
Where the poor soul, the burdened mind, the lonely hard heart
Is welcomed into the secure haven of Leviathan’s uttermost parts
Til the shadow of death passes by the stone rolled against the tomb
and Let there be Light
breaks forth
once again
from it’s womb
And we will remember the battle and the gore
and do no more
for…
It has already been finished
